47 assault rifle shot and killed one man and seriously injured another on Sunday in Bisha. The wounded man is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the local general hospital. The police found the dead man's body in a car parked on the side of the road after it received a report. According to Maj. Abdullah Aal Sha'than, Official Spokesman for Asir Region Police, the security authorities received a report from the General Hospital that a man with gunshot wounds had arrived at the hospital. Investigators tried to question him but he could not answer because of his physical condition. Aal Sha'than said the police investigation focused on one of the dead man's acquaintances, who had been seen driving away from the region. The police pursued him, and eventually found him hiding in a sheep's shed after his car had broken down. During questioning, he admitted being involved in the incident.
