RIYADH: Sergei Vakhrukov, Governor of the Russian Federation's Yaroslavl region, has commended the comprehensive and great developments being witnessed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various fields in the era of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The official also praised the development of relations between the two countries supported by their leaderships. In a meeting with the President of Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abdul Rahman Al-Jeraisi, and Saudi businessmen Saturday, Vakhrukov called on Saudi businessmen to take advantages of investment opportunities in the fields of industry, tourism, pharmaceutical industry, equipment, and the production of diesel engines in the Russian region. In 2009, the trade exchanges between the two countries were valued at SR 2,697 million.
