Marriott executives on a mission

Marriott International announced recently that over 35 top Marriott executives from across the world came together to embark on a Middle East Senior Management Sales Mission. The comprehensive sales mission kicked off in Abu Dhabi on May 1 and culminated in Kuwait, Sunday.
The Marriott International Senior Sales Mission is aimed at bringing senior Marriott executives and hotels closer to its high-value customers and partners for a unique networking opportunity, besides providing updates on various events and promotions from Marriott International leading into the peak summer travel season, a statement said.
The mission, involving General Managers and Corporate Executives from various Marriott properties across the globe including the GCC, Middle East, Europe, UK, USA and the Far East, covered seven cities across the GCC countries including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Riyadh, Doha and Kuwait.
Vladimir Dabbah, the Vice President of Global Sales (Middle East and Africa) at Marriott International, said: “The Senior Management Sales Mission, which is an annual event, demonstrates Marriott's commitment to the region. This highly comprehensive road show has become part of our sales culture and is designed to maximize on time spent in each city visiting our top customers and potential clients and also includes interactive market places and networking events which provide our customers with an opportunity to meet with international Marriott hotels on a single platform.”
He added: “This is the perfect opportunity to show our appreciation to our customers and thank them for their support whilst discussing mutually beneficial prospects on a one-to-one basis.”
The Senior Management Sales Mission epitomizes the innovative way of doing business at Marriott International. This unique approach helps maximize the sales efforts and reflects Marriott's proactive strategy to strengthen relationships with key customers across the region, the statement added.
Khaldoun Hayajneh, General Manager of Riyadh Marriott, thanked all the guests and the press persons for attending an event held Tuesday at Makarim Convention Center, Marriott Riyadh, and at the same time also thanked all members of the Senior Management who had embarked on the sales mission for two weeks. __
