Faisal, Emir of Makkar Region, will be briefed by Dr. Osama Al-Bar, Mayor of Makkah, on a study conducted for the development of 65 areas in the city. The meeting with the Emir of Makkah set for today will include discussion about a plan to improve some areas with investment potential, with the participation of the Al-Balad Al-Ameen Investment Co. Some of the areas, which have potential for improvement, are located in remote parts of the urban zones. Another group of property is unlicensed and owners have called for urgent action because of problems they are facing. Most of the areas are located in Al-Mefsial, Qouz Al-Nakassa, Jabel Al-Sharasif, Al-Kadwa, Al-Kankaryia, Al-Mabda and Al-Jumaza, Dr. Al-Bar said. He said the Al-Balad Al-Ameen Investment Co. has given top priority to the Easy Housing projects ordered by King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, which are aimed at developing undeveloped districts and curtailing their spread. Work on the project will start in the city's Umm Al-Joud District, where residential units will be constructed for owners of property in Makkah that has been expropriated for public development projects.
