MADINA: The Education Administration in Madina Region has received an urgent letter from the Ministry of Education demanding that it investigate a case in which a woman teacher reportedly made false accusations against a female colleague, a source told Okaz/Saudi Gazette. The Ministry of Education asked the Madina Education Administration to complete investigations and take measures that guarantee the woman teacher's right, according to the source. The incident occurred about five months ago in a girls' secondary school in Prince Naif Planned District in western Madina, the source said. The school's headmistress met with several female teachers and a female teacher reportedly insulted her co-worker in front of their colleagues and several female students, the source said. The woman at the receiving end lodged a written complaint at the school and provided the names of teachers who witnessed the incident, according to the source. She then filed an urgent complaint at the Education Administration and demanded fair treatment, but no action was taken, the source said. Lack of action led the woman's husband to send a letter of complaint to Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah, Minister of Education, and ask for justice and fairness for his wife, according to a source. That letter led the Ministry of Education to call for the investigation, the source said.
