JEDDAH: On a day when veterans outdid their younger counterparts the Saudi Steel Profile handed the Old Students-XI a 75-run thrashing in the Week 11 matches of Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) Division I, sponsored by ACE Tours and Travels. In the lone match of the day, Saudi Steel taking the strike first made 235-5 in its quota of 18 overs and then restricted Old Students-XI to 160-7 for a well-deserved win. Little Master Zain Ul Huda was the hero of the match. The stylish stroke player hit 62 runs off 27 deliveries with the help of thirteen hits to the boundary. He was well supported by Rana Shahzad, who hit 54 (4x6s & 5x4s). Imran Choudhary, who is also playing the afternoon matches as per the new rules of JCA which say that two players can play in different divisions, made 49. The other batsmen who contributed for the SSP were Tariq Jamal (31) and Nabeel Hussain (16). Manzar bagged 2-42 and Imran 1-37 for the Old Students-XI. In reply the Old Students-XI could scored only 160-7 in 18 overs and lost the match by 75 runs. Manzar, who took two wickets, remained the highest scorer with an unbeaten knock of 62 runs. He hit six boundaries and one six. Junaid added 30, Abdul Waheed 14 and Imran 11. Medium-pacer Abdu Rauf claimed 4-32 with his accurate bowling, while spinner Tariq Jamal bagged 2
