Anqari, Minister of Higher Education, has told Saudi students in the Czech Republic that they are “ambassadors for their country” and that they “portray their country's religious, cultural and national values”. Al-Anqari, meeting in Prague with Saudi students on the King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Scholarships Abroad Program, said that some 100,000 Saudis are studying in universities across the world as a result of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' concern for higher education. “The Kingdom's leadership has introduced polices for education development in the Kingdom through the expansion of university education and opening more universities,” the minister said. “Increased numbers of specialized study subjects have been introduced to accommodate over one million students.” He told students in Prague that their efforts now would serve their home country's development process in the future. “Saudi students abroad integrate into the cultures and civilizations of the countries they are in and master foreign languages, all of which will help them in their research.” Al-Anqari added that Saudi Arabia would be taking part alongside over 40 other countries in the Prague Book Fair which opens this weekend. “The Kingdom is for the first time guest of honor at the fair, and will have a display focusing on Arabic literature,” he said.
