RIYADH: The General Administration of Traffic will start to electronically register all new vehicles and details of their insurance policies from Monday. The new system will make it possible to issue licenses for all new vehicles owned by individuals and companies. The old manual system of dispatching insurance documents when registering new vehicles will be stopped. It said the purpose behind the gradual introduction of the e-system is to give people more time to adapt to the new system. It added that the new system is aimed to reduce pressure on the traffic departments and protect the rights of insurers when traffic accidents occur. It said it will help to overcome many shortcomings.
