JIZAN: Prince Mohammad Bin Nasser Bin Abdul Aziz inaugurated Tuesday the first branch of Al-Jazirah Vehicles Agencies Company (AJVA), the importer-dealer of Ford and Lincoln vehicles in the Kingdom, at Jizan City. The branch is the 18th in Kingdom and has showroom service center, workshop, parts department warehouse and accommodation. “This branch is very important to us not only because for establishing our presence in Jizan Province but also for continuing our commitment to serve our customers all over the Kingdom,” said Abdullah Bin Fahd Al-Kraidees, AJVA's president, in the press conference that followed the inauguration. “We need more studies to open assembly factory of cars at Jizan Economic City (JEC), especially because most of car parts come from different places around the world,” said Larry Prein, Ford Middle East managing director, in response to a Saudi Gazette query on the establishment of the Ford factory in Jizan. The Ford branch in Jizan has sold 118 cars in the trial opening. “We are planning to open another two branches n the Kingdom in the second half of this year,” Al-Kraidees added. Jizan is dubbed as a province of promise because it has many developed projects provided by the Saudi government. The competition among the car dealers in Jizan and in the Kingdom benefits the customers as it brings down the prices. The Saudi car market is the most important for Ford company because it is the largest in the Middle East, said Hussain Murad, the company director for sales in the Middle East.
