Makkah-based AKMC manages Al-Shohada Hotel that has luxurious accommodation, impeccable personalized service and attention to detail throughout the hotel. It was recognized as “Makkah's Leading Hotel” for the second consecutive year.
Located in close proximity to the Grand Mosque, the five-star hotel meets the needs of both religious and business travelers visiting Makkah. It was the first hotel to introduce a unique 24-hour personal butler service in the Holy City. The company's prestigious Al-Faisaliah Hotel, a Rosewood Hotel in Riyadh, garnered two WTA awards this year, with the newly opened Al-Faisaliah Hotel's south wing earning the title of “Saudi Arabia's Leading Luxury Hotel” and Al-Faisaliah Hotel being named “Saudi Arabia's Leading Conference and Banqueting Hotel”.
Accepting the awards on behalf of AKMC, Musaed Al-Said, CEO of Al-Khozama Management Company, said: “Thanks to the vision of our chairman Prince Bandar Bin Saud Bin Khalid to develop a diverse but comprehensive portfolio within the tourism and hospitality sectors, AKMC remains at the forefront of the industry.”
He said the WTA awards in Dubai together with other prestigious awards the AKMC received this year alone were testament to the company's leadership position in the hospitality sector, “and we congratulate all members of our team on these outstanding achievements”.
The three WTA awards bring the total number of regional and international awards won by AKMC in the past 12 months to 17. Earlier in the year, AKMC scooped an unprecedented four awards at the inaugural Saudi Excellence in Tourism Awards held in Riyadh. The awards were initiated by Riyadh-based Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA).
The awards included “Best Domestic Hotel” for AKMC's Al-Shohada Hotel in Makkah; “Best Luxury Hotel” for Al-Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh; “Best Fine Dining Restaurant” for the much acclaimed Globe Restaurant situated atop Al-Faisaliah Tower in Riyadh; and “Best Shopping Experience” for Al-Faisaliah Shopping Mall, the most prestigious shopping destination in the Saudi capital.
