JEDDAH: The Criminal Investigations Department and Jeddah Police tracked down two suspected fraudsters – an African and an Arab national – who used fake ATM cards to purchase costly electronic goods from stores in Jeddah. The two suspects allegedly bought tens of mobile telephones, iPhones, iPads and laptops, according to authorities, and targeted big bookshops on Palestine and Tahliya streets. The suspects told authorities that they did not speak Arabic and confessions started flowing when investigators spoke to them using other languages. The Arab national confessed that he asked the African to help him and the latter provided transport in his car.
