RIYADH: Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) and Zain Saudi Arabia have signed an agreement to train young Saudis and prepare them for the job market. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, HRDF Director and Ahmed Al-Faifi, COO, Zain Saudi Arabia, signed the agreement to that effect here Sunday. Zain Saudi Arabia, under the agreement with HRDF, will train fresh graduates from Saudi universities and prepare them for the job market, Al-Faifi said without giving any figure of trainees. “The signing of agreement with HRDF is one of the steps that Zain has taken to prepare young Saudis for the job market,” he said. He said his company has already recruited a large number of Saudis and would continue the training program that could help them (Saudi graduates) to find employment in the Saudi job market equipped with right tools that meet the requirement of private sector. The training program that started in May is one of the activities that come under of Zain's corporate social responsibility (CSR). Al-Faifi stressed that the training program will include a number of various occupations that will enable Saudi graduates to look for employment opportunities of their choice. Al-Faifi admired HRDF efforts saying that it helps companies in the recruitment of young Saudis equipped to meet the private sector job requirements. HRDF has been signing agreements with a number of leading companies in the private sector that include on-the-job training in majors that administrative work in hospitality industry among others such as receptionist at hotels. The program aims to prepare, train, rehabilitate the national cadres and provide them with the necessary skills required by the Saudi job market.
