Rosewood Corniche set for summer festival
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 24 - 06 - 2008

Rosewood Corniche, the ultra luxury hotel in the heart of Jeddah, is getting ready for a summer of fun and celebration as it prepares for its first summer festival.
The hotel, which opened in September 2007, is the ideal location for residents and visitors to the coastal city who want to immerse themselves in the atmosphere and fun of the Jeddah Summer Festival, the annual event which attracts more than three million people.
Overlooking the Red Sea from its location on the Jeddah Corniche, the hotel is at the hub of the city's fashionable northern corner, just minutes away from the key entertainment and designer shopping districts.
All offering Rosewood's famous 24-hour butler service, the hotel's luxurious suites and guest rooms offer superb views of the festival's spectacular fireworks displays and the Red Sea. Those who want to soak up the festival atmosphere need only walk a few steps from Rosewood Corniche before they are surrounded by concerts and family entertainment.
The festival, organized by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, is one of the highlights in the calendar for the city that has been described as the world's biggest open-air art gallery, guaranteed to make a lasting impression on visitors. Jeddah is expecting large numbers of tourists from Riyadh and around the Kingdom, as well as from neighboring countries such as the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Yemen.
Jeddah Summer Festival 2
“We are very much looking forward to playing a part in this year's Jeddah Summer Festival, our first since the hotel opened”, said Hans Peter Lietzke, managing director for Rosewood Corniche.
“We know historically that family holidays to the Red Sea are very popular for residents from Riyadh and throughout the Kingdom, as the mercury continues to rise, and the festival provides a great holiday atmosphere in the city, our first summer is going to be incredibly busy”
“The Rosewood Corniche is the perfect location for all travelers this summer and we expect a wide range of guest to stay with us, from religious travelers pre and post their Makkah & Madina pilgrimage, domestic and international vacationers enjoying the festival, to the newlyweds who have taken advantage of the fantastic new honeymoon package rates we have on offer, available until the end of June.” Rosewood Corniche will open its doors to families and festival goers who want to escape from the celebrations to enjoy dinner overlooking the Red Sea. Noodles restaurant is perfectly suited to families, offering a dedicated and supervised children's area with chopstick lessons and games on PlayStation 3, while parents can watch the hand pulled noodles prepared in the open kitchens.
Other dining options include European fare at Habsburg, exquisite hand-made pastries at the Soliel Café and modern Japanese delicacies at Ginza i Chome.
For residents and guests in Jeddah this summer, there is no better place to embrace the festival spirit than Rosewood Corniche which plans to make its first summer one to remember. __
