RIYADH: A forum on private museums opens here today organized by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), in cooperation with King Saud University. Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, President of the SCTA, was expected to open the event which would include private museums owners and officials from the SCTA and the university. The two-day event will be held at King Abdul Aziz Lecture Hall at King Abdul Aziz Historic Center in Riyadh. It marks International Museum Day. The forum is aimed at supporting owners and allowing them to exchange expertise and experiences. It is also to help them preserve antiquities and find better ways to exhibit them. The SCTA will also brief them on its plans regarding private museums.
