French President Francois Hollande received here today Prince Meteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard, who is currently visiting France. Upon arrival, Prince Meteb shook hands with the French President and memorial photos were taken. Then, the French President and the Minister of National Guard held a bilateral meeting. At the outset of the meeting, Hollande welcomed Prince Meteb, lauding the strong relations between the two friendly countries in all fields which are supported by the political and economic cooperation between France and the Kingdom. For his part, Prince Meteb bin Abdullah expressed his happiness of visiting France and meeting with the French President. Prince Meteb conveyed greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the French President. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the Kingdom and France in all fields. They also discussed the latest developments at regional and international arenas. In a press statement following the meeting, the Minister of National Guard hailed the strong and historical relations between the two countries based on mutual respect, stressing that there is a convergence of views between the Kingdom and France on all issues and wishing a continuation of cooperation between the two countries in the benefit of joint interest. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammed bin Ismail Al Al-Sheikh, Saudi ambassador to France.
