The Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) started at the Conference Palace in Jeddah today its 41st session under the title of 'Exploring Areas of Islamic Cooperation'' in the presence of President Mahmoud Abbas of the State of Palestine, Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Current Session, and the OIC Secretary General Iyad bin Amin Madani. The OIC member states are participating in the two-day session. The Foreign Minister of Guinea and President of the 40th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Lounceny Fall delivered a speech in which he praised the wise policy of Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, which enabled the organization to advance successful steps toward the objectives of the OIC Member States. He underlined the importance of the joint Islamic action, enhancement of prospects of cooperation, focus on the policy of the Member States, and confronting phenomena facing the Muslim world. He stressed the need to focus on the development of infrastructure to promote Islamic economies and achieve the vision of Islamic Cooperation which is a prerequisite to face the volatility in the region.
