Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, has underlined the importance of the First Arab Cooperation and Economic Forum with Central Asia and Azerbaijan, as it will develop economic and cultural relations between the two sides and will contribute to developing our countries and serving the common interests of our peoples. This came in a speech at the beginning of a press conference Prince Saud held along with Finance Minister Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf and Arab League Secretary General Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi following the conclusion of the Forum. Prince Saud said 'When we talk about the relationship between the two sides, we are talking about a long historical relationship that extends to long years of religious, cultural and trade ties. We are very pleased with the outcome of today's meeting which was reflected in the two sides formal statements which included constructive initiatives for closer cooperation.' Prince Saud thanked Tajikistan and Kazakhstan for their invitation to host the next session of the Forum in 2016. Regarding the intention to invite Iranian Prime Minister to visit Saudi Arabia to discuss the developments in the region, Prince Saud said that there is a desire to resume contact. An invitation has been sent to Iran's Foreign Minister to visit the Kingdom, but the visit has not been paid. 'I hope that Iran contributes to stability in the region and not be part of the problem of interference in the region. Iran is a neighbor country and we have relations with it. We talk to them and hope to end any differences between the two countries,' Prince Saud said
