U.S. actor Johnny Depp is talking with Walt Disney Studios for a Hollywood version of Stephen Sondheim's Broadway musical "Into the Woods," Variety reported. Meryl Streep is also talking with the Disney production company about joining the film, the show business newspaper said. She would play the story's evil, ugly, spell-casting witch. Disney officials and the actors' representatives had no immediate comment on the report. It is expected Depp will play the baker role and sing in "Into the Woods," Variety said.
