Governor of Electricity Regulatory Authority Dr. Abdullah Al Shihri said that the first tender session to construct a renewable energy stations will be issued this year, so it makes 50% of the desalination and electricity stations work with nuclear and renewable powers by 2032. He explained in in press statement for "Al-Riyadh" The Kingdom has established King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy to develop and support the use of nuclear and renewable energy in the electricity system, The first station will operate in 2020, and the plan will be fully completed in 2032 so that the kingdom have about 21 thousand megawatts of nuclear energy, and 50 thousand megawatts of renewable energy.
