Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, chaired the weekly session of the Cabinet on Monday afternoon at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh. At the outset of the meeting, the Crown Prince welcomed Prince Muqrin bin Abdul-Aziz, the Second Deputy Premier and Advisor and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and wished him success. The Cabinet also congratulated Prince Muqrin bin Abdul-Aziz on the royal trust in appointing him as the Second Deputy Premier, asking Allah Almighty to help and guide him. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, after the meeting, Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said that the Cabinet, then, reviewed the latest developments in the region and the world, noting the international conference of donors to support the humanitarian situation in Syria and the efforts of Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, for holding the conference and its outcome of generous contributions to alleviate the human sufferings and the tragic situation of the Syrian people. The Cabinet condemned the Israeli attack on the Syrian territory and considered it a flagrant violation of the territory and sovereignty of an Arab state and a violation of the Charter of the United Nations, the norms of international law and Security Council resolutions. The minister said that the Cabinet welcomed the invitation by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain for the national dialogue with the participation of all components of the Bahraini society, expressing hope that this dialogue will contribute to ensuring and strengthening the national unity and maintaining the Kingdom of Bahrain's sovereignty and gains for the benefit and welfare of all its citizens.
