The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's Session at Al-Yamamah palace in Riyadh today. At the outset of the meeting, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques welcomed Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz who is making his debut in the Cabinet as new Minister of Interior, wishing him every success. The monarch then thanked Allah Almighty as well as all authorities that participated in the service of pilgrims for the success of the recently-concluded Hajj, appealing to Allah Almighty that the Kingdom continue to enjoy the grace of security and stability as well as serving pilgrims and caring for the sacred places which Allah bestowed on this country. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency following the meeting, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, explained that the ministers extended congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince on the success of Hajj, highly valuing the contents of the speech he addressed to Muslims on the occasion of Hajj, which called for the unity of and dialogue among the Muslim nation and demanded of the United Nations Organization to draft a resolution that convicts any country or group blaspheming divine religions and prophets, peace be upon them. Dr. Khoja said the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques then briefed the Cabinet on the talks, messages and contacts he made over the last few days with a number of leaders of brotherly and friendly countries and their envoys on aspects of cooperation in all fields and overall developments at regional and International arenas, led by the developments of the Palestinian issue and the situation in Syria. Dr. Khoja said the Cabinet condemned the terrorist bombings that took place in Manama which resulted in the killing of a number of innocents, reiterating the Kingdom's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain in addressing the violence and terrorism acts that are contrary to the teachings of Islam. He added that the Cabinet was also briefed on and welcomed the results of the agreement signed by the Syrian opposition last night in Doha to unite ranks by establishing 'National Coalition for the Revolutionary Forces and the Syrian Opposition' that represents the Syrian people. Dr. Khoja said the Cabinet then continued discussion of its agenda and issued the following decisions: The Cabinet approved the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Solomon Islands and the State of Tuvalu with a representative (non-resident ambassador) and authorized the Minister of Foreign Affairs or his deputy to sign the protocols. The Cabinet approved the customs cooperation agreement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, signed in Amman on 19/10/2011. The Cabinet approved the regulation for private family guiding centers which aims to provide a guidance service for the family's stability. The Cabinet approved a transference and a number of appointments as follows: 1-Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Qirnas is transferred from the post of director general of the main office of youth welfare (rank 14) in Riyadh to the post of undersecretary of the General President of Youth Welfare for sports affairs (same rank) at the General Presidency of Youth Welfare. 2- Eng. Salman bin Mohammed Namshan is appointed to the post of Director General of the main office of youth welfare (rank 14) in Riyadh at the General Presidency of Youth Welfare. 3- Ibrahim bin Ahmad Al-Wazan is appointed to the post of Head of Public Notary Office (rank 14) at the Ministry of Justice. 4- Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Meijel is appointed to the post of director general of the minister's office (rank 14) at the Ministry of Water and Electricity. 5- Mohammed bin Saud Al-Khimshi is appointed to the post of director general of administrative and financial affairs (rank 14) at the General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta.
