The Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah announced today that Hajj season for the year 1433 AH is safe and free from epidemic and quarantine diseases, and that pilgrims are enjoying good health. In a statement delivered at a press conference held here today, Dr. Al-Rabiah said that emanating from the keenness of the Ministry of Health on the safety of pilgrims, and in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince to take care of pilgrims and provide them with the best health services to enable them to perform their Hajj rituals easily and comfortably, the Ministry has mobilized all human and technical capabilities to provide pilgrims with its preventive, curative, ambulatory and awareness services. The Minister of Health pointed to the establishment and operation of East Arafat Hospital with a capacity of 236 beds, including 50 intensive care beds and 30 emergency beds, which is one of the huge medical projects ordered for establishment by the King . Dr. Al-Rabiah said that the number of pilgrims who have come to the facilities of the Ministry of Health amounted to 362,740 pilgrims, 463 pilgrims have undergone heart catheters, 35 pilgrims undergone open-heart surgeries, 2,024 pilgrims undergone kidney dialysis, and 443 in-patient pilgrims have been transferred from hospitals in Makkah and Madinah to the holy sites to complete their Hajj rituals. The Minister of Health has expressed his congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince on the occasion of the success of the plans of the Ministry of Health during Hajj season for the year 1433AH.
