Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Speech On National Day
Published in Alriyadh on 22 - 09 - 2012

The Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, stressed that what has been achieved for the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various sectors throughout its regions in light of the security and stability supporting this development, is the result of what has been exerted of efforts by fathers and grandparents to unify this country on the basis of Sharia.
Prince Salman delivered the following speech on the 82nd anniversary of National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia:
In the name of Allah, the most Merciful, the most Gracious,
Praise be to Allah and peace and blessings be upon Prophet Mohammed, his family and companions.
Today marks the 82nd anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during which we recall the efforts of fathers and grandfathers to unify this country on the basis of tolerant Sharia until our country has become a model of unity in the people's hearts before the unification of its territory. Every citizen is proud that he is a partner in this unity, and one of the pillars of its stability.
Today, we celebrate the anniversary of the National Day. I congratulate the people of this dear country, men and women, on what we are witnessing of safety, security, growth and stability under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who has made all efforts and mobilized the State's potentials and resources to achieve the aspirations of citizens for security and prosperity, until our country has become a workshop racing against time to implement the King's orders to execute mega projects throughout the country.
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I am happy on this day and every (other) day to share with you the pride and hopes, the pride of what has been achieved in our country including all sectors and in all regions witnessing security and stability, and the hope that these achievements are a source for the interest of the country and citizens who are the main objective of each project. The human being is the real wealth of the nation, who is a fundamental part in the development process that cannot be completed if it does not achieve the aspirations of citizens of progress and prosperity in light of security and stability that support this development.
Dear citizens,
We praise Allah Almighty that this country has been founded on Sharia and adhered to it in pursuant of the first Islamic State. Our country is proud of this approach, to which it has been committed since its foundation by late King Abdulaziz (May Allah bless his soul), and followed up by late Kings, until the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. Our country recognizes that this approach is a source of pride and strength. The Kingdom is also honored by Allah through the existence of the Holy Mosque in Makkah, the first mosque for the people from which Islam was launched and it is a Qiblah for Muslims, and the seat of the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah where the Prophet had migrated. Whatever has been exerted of the efforts of Saudi Arabia in the service of the Two Holy Mosques and care for pilgrims is seen as a duty which the Kingdom and its citizens have the honor to do as a praise to Allah Almighty for countless blessings and resources.
'Dear Brothers and Sisters,
One of the blessings of Allah Almighty bestowed on this country is that it works for the interest of Islam, Muslims and all humankind, and it has made efforts to serve the issues of the nation until it became a valve of safety, sincere reference and trustworthy in reconciling the various parties. The Kingdom's policy deserved all appreciation and respect of the world and its various bodies.
Dear citizens,
What is happening in some parts of the region of strife and unrest necessitates that we shall all be more cautious and keen on the security and stability which are the main source of all development and progress. The Kingdom's honor of the responsibility of care for the Two Holy Mosques and the blessings of security, safety and resources necessitate that we all make all efforts to protect these achievements for which the King has paid attention and care.
In conclusion, we pray to Allah Almighty for continuing the blessings of Islam, security, safety, progress and prosperity, and for protecting the leader of the Kingdom's march, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and crowning his efforts with full success.'
