What does looting embassies & murdering ambassadors mean?
Published in Alriyadh on 17 - 09 - 2012

It is not reasonable, logically, to miss the political & social effects. It is not imperative that such effects shall lead but they should be, at least, influential in regard to treatment behavior and ideas in many Arab countries. The downfall that many Arab regimes have been subjected to does not entitle such effects to prevail in societies which proved that they were not able, earlier, to affect what was going to happen later. This means that the level of public awareness is not high enough.
On the other hand, some societies might have said that what has happened was an attempt for reaching the best condition but some interventions occurred and led the matters towards the worst one.
Another clear aspect of a missing awareness is that not everyone who talks, objects or protests obtains the competent awareness, as the low awareness is a mixture of opinion, declaration claim and practicing the looting and murdering at the same time. Such missing or loss is clear in media levels, too, due to the past long years of competent awareness recession. If versed awareness & honest balanced presence were there; there wouldn't be that strange mixing between an opinion occasion, a looting occasion and a third one which is defined as a crime.
This is the reality of what is happening in the Arab World, which has never been a spring in any day. On the contrary, evidences of its "summer" are apparent in the numerous hot events.
Is it correct, for instance, to object a work of art attributed to the United States, in spite of that those who made it were easterns that acquired the American naturalization, through exceeding the expression of opinion and reaching the stage of assaulting the American embassies and even looting some of them, especially in Tunisia, as per the pictures that have been spread throughout the internet. As for Libya, how can the ambassador or even his office boy be killed, in spite of that no man supported Libya efficiently earlier as much as this man did?!
Protesting is a sort of expressing the opinion, the way it is happening in the West, but encroachment, breaking of glass, breaking into the offices and looting their assets cannot be given a name other than a name that represents the harshest abuses, regardless of their being an individual work or a group work. The reality of present Arab World imposes the necessity of the presence of media which are capable of correcting the wrong concepts and banning any protesting that leads to no more than negative aspects.
