King Performs Funeral Prayer for Crown Prince Naif

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud performed, together with other worshippers, at the Holy Mosque in Makkah after Maghreb (sunset) prayer today funeral prayer for Crown Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior.
The funeral prayer was also performed with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques by King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan; President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan; President Idriss Deby of Chad; President Ismail Omar Guelleh of Djibouti; President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed of Somalia; President Mahmoud Abbas of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization; Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani of Qatar; Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah of Kuwait; President Mohamed Ould Abdulaziz of Mauritania; Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces of Egypt Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi; Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates; Prime Minister Dr. Fayez Tarawneh of Jordan; Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa of Bahrain; Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani of Pakistan; Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali of Tunisia; Algerian National Assembly Speaker Abdul Qadir bin Saleh; Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani of Qatar; Prime Minister Najib Mikati of Lebanon; Moroccan King's brother Prince Rashid bin Al-Hassan II; representatives of a number of brotherly countries; Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu; and Secretary General of the Arab League Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi.
The funeral prayer was also performed by Prince Bandar bin Abdulaziz; Prince Miteb bin Abdulaziz; Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz; Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense; Prince Mamdouh bin Abdulaziz; Prince Abdul-Ilah bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the King; Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Interior; Prince Mashhor bin Abdulaziz; Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Intelligence; a number of princes; Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; a number of Ulema, sheikhs, ministers and senior civil and military officials.
After performing the funeral prayer, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques received condolences from leaders and representatives of brotherly countries.
Then, the body of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was taken to Al-Adel Cemetery in Makkah where he was buried.
Participating in the burial ceremony were Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz; Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz; Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense; Prince Ahmad bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Interior; Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Governor of Makkah Region; Prince Mamdouh bin Abdulaziz; and a number of princes, sheikhs, ministers and senior civil and military officials.
