The Afghan government says 12 civilians have been killed in a roadside bomb attack in the south of the country. Helmand provincial spokesman Daoud Ahmadi says a minivan was hit by the bomb while driving in Sangin district Wednesday morning. Another six people were wounded and are being treated at a NATO base. He says women and children were among the dead, according to a report of the Associated Press.
