The most recent survey that was done by bayt.com showed that 40.9% of professionals in the middle east don't save anything of their family income, while the biggest spending that don't include housing is on food with 40.8%. The results of bayt.com survey showed the saving and spending directions in the regions of Middle East and Northern Africa, where 18.33% only of the professional in the Middle East save between 1% and 10% of the family income. This is compatible with the most recent study of the consumer trust indicator of bayt.com, where the majority of the professionals in the Middle East said that the increase in the salaries don't meet life expenses. The result o the survey also showed that 32.3% of the professionals in the Middle East spend 21%-41% of their income on rents or mortgages with a percentage of 34.7 that spend more than that. 66.6% of the professionals included in the survey states that they don't own any houses for personal or investing matters, and about 10% that own two or more houses. 40.8% of the participants clarified that their biggest spending is focused on food, while 15.6% said that they spend it on school fees. Transportation, traveling and clothing in total got 23.6%, while it was found that only 1.5% of the professionals' spending in the Middle East is on children accessories, which is the lowest percentage in that category. The vice president of sales in bayt.com Amer Zoraiqat said that the current distribution of income that is spent indicate that in the first half of 2011 most of it was spent on necessary accessories only, with a very low spending on entertainment or non-essential goods. He also added that this meets with data gathered by bayt.com that indicate that the current life expenses exceed the salaries that most professionals in the Middle East and Northern Africa get. And when asked on what they will be spending if they had higher income, 20% of the participants stated that they would spend it on the school fees of their children, while 18.5% said that they would spend any extra money on either a car or traveling, with a majority of 57.8% that stated that they travel once a year currently. 1.4% of the professional in the Middle East said that they would use the extra money to buy more accessories for the children. The results of the survey showed that 36.6% of the professionals in the middle east don't compare goods on internet at all as well as they don't buy it, while 23.4% compare without buying, and 14.3% sometimes buy goods through internet at the time where 14.1% usually compare goods on internet without buying it, and 11.4% usually buy goods on internet. In regards of investments, 43.6% admitted that they are not practiced in investment, but it shows an attention in learning how to invest, while 22.4% said that they know the benefits of investments with 19.4% of those that limitedly understand investment. And among those included in the survey, 6.1% don't know anything about investment and are not interested in learning it.
