From a unity dream to a division reality
Published in Alriyadh on 01 - 08 - 2011

In the history of people there are some bloody positions and tearing of the nation's and society's maps where regions and minorities were exchanged as well as dividing some rich regions with natural resources from others that are poor. Moreover, some races were eliminated for the sake of other races, and identities and cultures disrupted, and in front of the human tyranny on others some resistance justifications and fighting back rose to the surface against the empires and colonial countries or the unfairness of oppressing governments, and so the bloody centuries of the victorious ones with their modern tools and powers were not able to abolish the public will and fight.
All the victorious and defeated citizens had the same events occurring to them in their weak phases, and so the punishments became the same type of the crime committed. The current civilizations didn't have a human role outside its environment or those that are equal to it in power and ability in the scientific and technical achievement, but those that didn't have these qualifications were left to face their enemies and their selves, where the constitutions and rights were made to serve those that create history and not those that watch it or await its forgiveness and coincidences.
In our Arab environment and Islamic world, huge events took place, where we made a great empire that existed for long then broke down the same way any historical power rises and falls. We now live on the memories of that empire only, meaning that we couldn't do the same as the other nations that walk up and renewed its people's motivation with a new revival, because the past-independency presidents played a role of borrowing rules and regulations that don't match with our social component, and when they felt their disability of providing development they started a game of creating contradictions between the internal powers by isolating classes, or by pushing sectors and families to clash with each other so that they strengthen and elongate the duration of those authorities, which engendered hatred within one nation that lived in harmony and agreement for long centuries. Even in its illiteracy and poverty situations, the general feeling of those nations didn't break out those contradictions, where even the colonialism that tried to strike people with each other, but the people understood the goal from that and the national union defeated the divisions and sectors that we are now living, which created a stronger conflict among us than that with the external enemy.
The lie of democracy that American invasion brought to Iraq created a new reality; where Iraq became dependent on Iran it its existence and direction, and the division between its three parts, South, Middle, and North, became a reality that is supported by sectors. Furthermore, sectors became the new identity as well as the loyalty to Iran, and South Soudan's independency was not as an act of a desire and distinguish from the North, but the existence of an exiled citizen on his land started fire on unity, and the cause is that all post-independency governments ignored the importance of creating a balanced relation between the missions of development and the rights of people with no difference. Thus, it was necessary that the destiny that came with forces and ended with dialogue and acceptance of reality should be achieved. The same thing is threatening the unity of Yemen that started with Arabs blessings, but it failed in eliminating the differences between the North and South, and perhaps the Iraqi and Sudanese scenario may happen to Yemen, with Lebanon exposed to the same situation, and here comes the guarantee that only governments are the ones responsible for what is going on and the dark future of this nation
