The new food prices recorded a big increase that ranged between 10% and 40% in the current period, which included sugar, oils, milk and some coffee types. This difference in prices lead to calls to put a clear mechanism from the Ministry of Trade and the other inspection organizations to control the local markets where the last weeks before Ramadan experience unjustified increase in prices of the main goods. These increases result in burdening a lot of families because of the overlapping expenses of summer vacation, traveling and Ramadan.
