Saudi firms participating in the Kingdom's wing have entered in business deals estimated at a total value of more than SR 150 million. they included hotel bookings in Mecca and Medina, and the organization of various tourist trips for tourists from the GCC to the Kingdom Workers in these wings estimating the would be agreed upon deals conducted between Saudi companies and their counterparts from many other participating countries in the forum at more than SR 200 million. Visitors, estimated at about 5000 a day, viewed the exhibited articles, which highlight the historical, heritage and tourism elements in the Kingdom. Officials at the general authority for Tourism and heritage estimated that the volume of broachers handed out are more than 12 thousand that familiarize with the Kingdom and its history, its cultural progress, developmental projects, historical and tourist components. Majid Al Nifei of Moasim company emphasized that meetings held in the Kingdom's wing at the forum with representatives of several participating companies have resulted in the signing of hotel booking contracts in Mecca and Medina at a value of more than SR 50 million. This includes more than 300 hotel nights in Dar Al Taqwa hotel in Medina, and the Fairmont Hotel in Mecca. He pointed out that the company is currently negotiating with several international companies to organize tour packages and hotel bookings in different parts of the Kingdom. During their participation in the Saudi wing, Elaf, Almasa, Movie pick group and Dar Ultawhid Intercontinental international group have all signed a contracts, including hotel nights during this year Hajj and Umrah season, estimated at a value of SR 40 million. The company held several meetings with officials from participating countries from Egypt, GCC, South Africa and Tanzania. These meetings resulted in the signing of commercial contracts at a value of SR 9 million including bookings of 300 hotel rooms during the holy month of Ramadan, said Sharif Ba Wazir, marketing director of Dar Uliman in Mecca. Adil Abdulhai, Vice Chairman of the Board General Manager, manager of Medina Oberoi hotel, that the hotel is currently holding discussions with representatives of several companies participating in the forum, stressing that the talks with the participant Moroccan side resulted in the signing of contracts worth more than one SR million including about 600 hotel nights during this year Hajj season. He is also anticipating signing similar contracts with companies from South Africa in the next few days. Mohamed Sobhi Yagoub, business Development director of Forsan tourism stated that the group has signed an exclusive working tourism offer agreements with Singapore's Ministry of Tourism. He pointed out that the group is offering, through The Saudi wing, a tourist package and deals in the Kingdom for GCC citizens. On the other hand, Al Khwarizmi management company entered into contracts with Al Aqeeq for Real Estate Development in Medina to manage—Alfaysalya- its first five star hotel in Medina. The company intends to expand its business throughout the cities of the Kingdom as part of its business development strategy, said Musaad Al Saied, Chief Executive of the company. He also pointed out that the new hotel is overlooking the Prophet's Mosque, and comprises 495 rooms and suites, in addition to restaurants, excellent facilities, a health club and other facilities.
