The Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States arrived today in Riyadh to participate in an extraordinary meeting of the Ministerial Council of GCC Foreign Ministers. The GCC delegations were led by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Sabah Al-Salim Al-Sabah of Kuwait; Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmad bin Muhammad Al Khalifa of Bahrain; Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayid Al Nuhayyan of United Arab Emirates (UAE); Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hamad bin Jasim bin Jabir Al-Thani of Qatar and Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yousef bin Alawi bin Abdullah of Oman. UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Anwar Muhammad Gargash also arrived here today. At Riyadh Ari Base, they were received by Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs; GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani; GCC Ambassadors to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a number of officials.
