Barcelona says Pep Guardiola will sign his one-year contract extension on Feb. 22.Sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta says the decision was made after «we talked about it with Pep and we thought (Feb. 22) since it will be a quiet week.» Barcelona will play two league matches and its last 16 Champions League match at Arsenal before then. Zubizarreta says negotiations to keep Guardiola until the close of at least the 2011-12 season were «neither difficult nor easy _ we knew Pep wanted to stay because he's always said so, so this was never going to be a problem.» Since replacing Frank Rijkaard, former player Guardiola has guided Barcelona to eight major trophies, including two straight Spanish leagues and a Champions League.
