Minister of Justice said "the kingdom represents the moderate Islamic way regarding its legitimate principles maintained by the government authorities

During the meeting with the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom,

Minister of Justice Sheikh Dr. Mohamed Bin Abdul Karim Al Essa stated that justice and moderation are one of the kingdom's bases and nobody can touch it for any reason. He assured that the kingdom and Saudi Muslims feel Islam leniency and civilized properties. Saudi Muslims comprehend the holy meanings and apply it when dealing with others with confidence and stability. they can live and deal with others in civilized and positive manner as we are ordered by our religion which ordered us be just as mentioned in Holy Quran: "Allah forbiddeth you not those who warred not against you on account of religion and drove you not out from your homes, that ye should show them kindness and deal justly with them. Lo! Allah loveth the just dealers". Islam explains that the good word is considered charity to mankind as a wet liver is an alms for animals. Also, Islam reveals that no coercion in religion because it's a thought and a belief. Anything may change with coercion or strength except beliefs and thoughts. So, Islam reveals that no coercion in religion. Islam did not deal with those beliefs unless it is out of order such as offense to the public order.
The minister explained that Islam welcomes dialogue as mentioned in its practical method in order to communicate with others. This is the most outstanding communication tool with reference to the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz (May God Bless Him) to religions dialogue and peace at all levels according to the Islamic values which distinguish our moderate Islamic speech. He (May God Help Him) comprehend that well, especially when he assured the value of our Islamic nations and the difficulties it is facing by the attacks of enemies and extremity of some Muslims who act violently against Islam leniency, justice and supreme aims. This is an example of the king of this country who reflects the justice and objectivity of his government.
Al Essa said that this method reject any religious extremity referring that the kingdom fought terrorism and violence in all forms because it is a result of extremity and radicalism.
He explained that the kingdom judges are keeping up with time, conditions and traditions with justice principles based on Islamic Shari'ah which ordered us to be just even with our enemies. Allah says: "O ye who believe! Be steadfast witnesses for Allah in equity, and let not hatred of any people seduce you that ye deal not justly. Deal justly, that is nearer to your duty. Observe your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Informed of what ye do". As for other religions' believers (who did not harm us), we are ordered to be kind and just to them as mentioned in the end of a verse: "...Lo! Allah loveth the just dealers".
Minister of Justice stated that the kingdom's history proves its moderate religion and method. The kingdom suffered from many fabrications without proof by people who have no standards of justice or fair.
He added that the judge of our method is facts, because our country's slogan is honesty and transparency which proved by your meeting and welcoming your ideas. Every clarification is not only said but also proved by our country's justice represented in this ministry. We will not hide our beliefs, because that will be a sin as our Prophet said: "Sin is what wavers in your heart and hated to share with people". We are proud of just and honorable situations and our religion has no secrets or hidden practices which is not consistent with civilized world. Islam calls for civilization and abandoning mean meanings. What makes us happy is that who suspect our situation can't go far till truth revealed itself. The minister explained that relationships, international due benefits of the kingdom and signed certificates in vital bases especially human rights and social life are the most important evidence of trust in our method. Moreover, these certificates triumph over the fabricators. This is not only proved by international relationships but a real thing. Some may say that we are just pretending, but we got the proof and we are an open book. The reality of fabrications is that they are mere allegations.
