More than 1,5 million pilgrims arrive in Saudi Arabia, so far Guests of King Salman's for Hajj and Umrah Program commend Kingdom's efforts in serving pilgrims
1,584,269 pilgrims have so far arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The General Directorate of Passports said in its daily statistics that 1,483,522 pilgrims arrived by air; 86,149 by land; and 14,598 by sea, an increase by 33% (389,289) pilgrims compared with the same period last year. As many as 845,878 pilgrims have so far arrived in Madinah for this year's Hajj season 1438 AH (2017 AD). Madinah-based National Pilgrim-Guides Foundation pointed out in its daily statistics that 673,809 pilgrims have left Madinah, while 171,978 pilgrims remained in it. The guests of the Program of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz for Hajj and Umrah have praised the great efforts and services being provided annually for pilgrims by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince. The guests who come from all over the world to perform Hajj and Umrah rituals appreciated the efforts exerted by the Government of the Kingdom in expanding the Two Holy Mosques and the holy sites to serve pilgrims and enable them to perform their rituals easily and comfortably. The Program of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz for Hajj and Umrah is being implemented and supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance. 241 pilgrims of the guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud arrived in Makkah today, bringing the number of guests arrived until now to 1279 pilgrims from the total of 1300 pilgrims whom the Royal Order was issued to be hosted this year, 1438 AH, as part of the Program of the guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Hajj being implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance. The guests are scheduled to complete arrival on Sunday with 21 pilgrims from the United States of America and Kyrgyzstan. The guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques from 80 countries in the continents of Asia, Africa, Europe, South and North America began to flock to Makkah on last Wednesday, 1 Dhu al-Hijjah.
