The Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Muhammad Saleh bin Taher Benten, has approved the operational plan prepared by South Asian Guide-Pilgrims Foundation to serve more than 525,000 pilgrims from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal and some pilgrims coming from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states during this year's Hajj season 1438 AH. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation Dr. Raafat bin Ismail Badr said that this year's plan is witnessing a number of developments including increasing the number of offices of the field service groups from 118 to 140 offices and replacing all traditional tents in Arafat's site with fire-resistant tents equipped with air conditioners.
