Prince Khaled bin Salman Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the USA has reiterated the unwavering principles of the Saudi policy vis-à-vis numerous issues still in need of extensive efforts to be resolved. Speaking about the Saudi-US relations, he has confirmed that there is a huge improvement in them under Trump's administration. He voiced happiness with the current relations. It is clear that President Trump has restored the strategic alliances with traditional allies to the right path, contrarily to the former US administration who had adopted an adverse approach stirring up the conflicts in the region. Meanwhile, the present administration has dealt with the issues of the region reasonably and realistically, thereby bolstering the efforts for finding radical solutions for them. As regards Qatar's crisis, Prince Khaled thinks Qatar's terror-supportive policies are behind the crisis. He reaffirmed the unwavering Saudi counterterrorism stance. Therefore, Saudi Arabia rejects the behavior of Qatar's government in supporting terrorism and extremism. Tackling the Saudi position regarding human rights, he emphasized that the Kingdom achieved a big change in the last two years, especially with respect to women's rights. He said that Saudi women are important to the development of Saudi Arabia. He had that we cannot move forward without half of our population. This confirms the reality of Saudi women assuming prestigious jobs and professions not available for them before. In his speech to Washington Post, Prince Khaled tackled the important files of Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Iran and counterterrorism which require wisdom and prudence to deal with and attain lasting solutions leading to the stability and security of the region and leading the region to wider horizons of sustainable development.
