Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) has announced that it will operate direct flights to a new destination, Mauritius, from September 14. The new destination is the third new route for the company this year after Multan in Pakistan and Port Sudan in the Sudan and the 60th destination in total. Flight SV481, the first direct flight between Saudi Arabia and Mauritius, will depart King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh at 05:00 on Thursday, September 14, 2017, and after a brief stopover of one hour at King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah, and leave for Mauritius at 7:40 am. The total flying time to Mauritius is 9 hours from Riyadh and 7 hours 20 minutes from Jeddah. The return flight, SV482, will depart Mauritius at 17:35 pm to arrive at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah at 23:55 night. Saudia will operate three flights a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with a Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner in two classes – 24 seats in Business Class and 274 seats in Guest Class.
