Saudi Ambassador to Sudan Ali bin Hassan Ja'afar said the Iranian government's rejection of the arrival of a Saudi team to Iran to inspect the Saudi embassy headquarters in Tehran and the consulate in Mashhad in seeking for diplomatic concessions in light of the severing of relations between the two countries is considered in violation of the inviolability of diplomatic missions being pursued by the Iranian government for 38 years. He stressed that this Iranian procrastination reflects the behavior of the Iranian government in violation of international covenants and laws including Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations signed in 1961 which provides for the protection of headquarters and diplomatic missions. The Ambassador explained that the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will take all measures that guarantee its diplomatic rights in accordance with international conventions and the provisions of the international law.
