A SR 100 fee per month on dependents of expatriates living in Saudi Arabia will be introduced on July 1, an official source said. The new fees, which will be collected at the time of renewal of iqama, have been approved by the Council of Ministers within the government's Fiscal Balance Program. Details of how the decision will be implemented have not yet been released to the relevant government departments. According the levy structure, the SR 100 fees will be increased to SR 200 from July, 2018; SR 300 from July, 2019; and SR 400 from July, 2020. It will apply to all dependents, including spouses, dependent children, parents, house maids and domestic workers.
