A year ago, Riyadh residents woke up to a heinous crime committed by twin brothers who repeatedly stabbed their mother to death after she tried to stop them from joining the Daesh terror group. After murdering their mother on June 24 last year, the twins, Saleh and Khaled Ibrahim Al-Oraini, both 20, attempted to kill their 73-year-old father and 22-year-old brother but failed. The two brothers were arrested in Al-Kharj city while trying to flee to Yemen. Sources told Al-Riyadh Arabic newspaper that the case of the Al-Oraini brothers is still under investigation and legal procedures are underweay for their referral to public prosecution. The sources said the two Daesh sympathizers will be brought before the Specialized Criminal Court. The twins, who were school dropouts, had embraced Daesh thoughts and were planning to join the terror group in Syria. They murdered their mother when she learnt of their plans, the Interior Ministry had revealed at that time. The twins testified to this fact and said when she threatened to report them to the security authorities, they called her an infidel and killed her.
