Riyadh has grabbed world headlines for two consecutive days. It hosted the president of its historical ally and prominent Arab and Islamic leaders, culminating in a series of agreements an international declaration, and the creation of a Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology. Riyadh had invited its friends from the Gulf, Arab and Muslim countries to come together to draw out a roadmap to peace. This was the message from the leadership of the Muslim world that it will stand up to defend its issues and rights. The Kingdom's efforts led to the president of the world's most powerful country sitting across with leaders of the Arab-Muslim world. They ironed out their differences, sincerely looking for solutions. This is what led to a successful final declaration, to the satisfaction of all participating countries. Donald Trump's speech to the leaders indicated America's policy towards the Middle East. It underlined the sincere desire to build a cooperative mechanism between the US and the Arab-Muslim world to fight extremism and terrorism. Riyadh used its influence to bring more than 55 countries on one platform. The effort was to share the fruits of success with all friendly countries rather than corner all benefits for itself. Saudi Arabia put the interests of the entire Arab-Islamic world before its own. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the leaders of the Arab-Islamic world have asserted their determination to fight every form of terrorism and extremism. The Riyadh declaration carries a message for the entire world. The final declaration makes a strong partnership between the leaders of the Arab-Islamic world and the US to fight extremism and terrorism to achieve peace, stability and development in the region and the world. The leaders have welcomed the newly-formed Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology, with its headquarters in Riyadh. This was one of the major gains for all participating countries. A number of Islamic countries have expressed readiness to participate in the Islamic Military Alliance to fight terrorism and provide a reserve force of 34,000 to support its operations, if required. Riyadh and its partners were successful in emphasizing the need to spread a culture of coexistence and constructive cooperation among them. This strengthened the idea of constructive coexistence and tolerance between the countries, religions and cultures. It called for meaningful and serious cultural dialogue, demonstration of tolerance and rejection of all forms of violence. It also urged the rejection of all sectarian agendas and interference in the affairs of other states. It totally rejected the Iranian regime's destabilizing designs in the region and the world and its continued support for terrorism and extremism. The Riyadh summits have taken a commitment from all participating countries of the Arab-Muslim world and the US to coordinate their policies and visions – all directed at ensuing peace and harmony in the world.
