Saudi Embassy in Jordan supervised the date distribution project in Jordan presented by King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid in cooperation with the World Food Organization (FAO) as part of the charitable campaigns being undertaken by the Kingodm of Saudi Arabia's Government in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan. The minister plenipotentiary at Saudi Embassy in Jordan, Tareeq bin Mohammed Rashwan paid a visit today to the storage warehouses of the dates in Amman and was briefed on the storage and distribution mechanisms. The dates will be distributed to the most needy Jordanian families as well as the Syrian refugees at Al-Zaatari and Al-Azraq refugee camps. This year's shipment is 400 tonnes of dates out of 800 tons donated to World Food Program (WFP) in Jordan. Distributors expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Saudi leadership and people, stressing that this shipment of dates is added to the record of the Kingdom's ongoing humanitarian assistance to WFP.
