A Houthi-run court has sentenced to death Yahya Al-Jubaihi, who was abducted from in front of his house in Sanaa last September. Yemeni sources said the court ruled to execute Al-Jubaihi, for fabricated and forged accusations. All of a sudden, we have come to know of the ruling, the sources said, citing that he was not previously offered a hearing or given the right to appoint a lawyer. Al-Jubaihi is a member of the Arab journalists union and the Yemeni journalists trade union and works as lecturer at the Faculty of Information, University of Sanaa. In the 1980s, he served as freelancer and appointed as media counselor at the Yemeni Cabinet secretariat general.
