Prince Talal bin Abdul Aziz, President of the Arab Gulf Development Program (AGFUND), has donated US $ 220,000 to humanitarian relief work in a number of countries in the region, including $ 120,000 for relief of displaced families from Aleppo in Syria and $ 100,000 in response to a call from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) to save the lives of people at risk of dying, particularly children, due to famine and acute malnutrition, in northeastern Nigeria, South Sudan, Somalia and Yemen. This contribution is an extension of the role of AGFUND and its position in humanitarian conditions to alleviate the suffering of those affected, especially children, women and the elderly.
