The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud visited here today Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta which is one of the most Islamic prominent landmarks in Indonesia. Upon arrival, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was received by President Joko Widodo of the Republic of Indonesia; Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Saifuddin and a number of Indonesian officials. Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques provided a memorial gift which is a belt of the Holy Kaaba (the House of Allah) for Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta. Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was briefed on establishment of the mosque and phases of its constructions as well as its role in the memorization of the Holy Quran and publishing of the knowledge. The monarch signed in the record visits, expressing his happiness to visit Istiqlal Mosque which is an Islamic landmark and a bright center in the Southeast Asia in addition to its role in the memorization of the Holy Quran and publishing of the Islamic culture. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was accompanied by a number of princes and ministers members of the official delegation.
