An official source at the Foreign Ministry confirmed Saudi Arabia's solidarity with the friendly nation of France, stressing that Riyadh stands firmly against terrorism and extremism. A knife-wielding man lunged at a soldier patrolling outside the Louvre Museum and was later shot. The identity of the 29-year-old attacker has not yet been formally confirmed. A French prosecutor said the man is in a life-threatening condition, undergoing treatment at a hospital.
