King Abdullah Economic City's Souq Juman Festival, held at the city's landmark Juman Park, in the Bay La Sun district. Managed by young Saudi men and women, the Souq Juman Festival offered a wide range of social activities including displays of local handicrafts and high-end clothing brands as well as hand-made foods and food carts. The festival also featured a special section where ladies where able to participate in activities such as handicrafts. The festival also included theatrical and artistic performances, as well as stand-up comedy shows, a variety of games for children and adults, acrobatic performances, optical illusions and competitions with a wide variety of prizes. Souk Juman is the latest addition to the busy social calendar at KAEC, which is emerging as the leading weekend leisure destination for families in the Kingdom. The event was held at Juman Park, a 50,000 square meter green area that attracted more than 75,000 visitors at Q4 in 2016 to enjoy the venue's sporting and leisure facilities, mini golf course and events held in the park's outdoor amphitheater. King Abdullah Economic City welcomed more than more than 200,000 visitors in 2016 to a wide variety of events including Hekaya Misk, the Bay La Sun Weekend Festival, the Young Author Festival, the Hannibal Race, the Autocross Race, Actionha, and the hugely popular Got Talent show. The Souk Juman event as well as other KAEC events was promoted via the city's social media channels as well as the Visit.KAEC.net leisure portal, contributing to the success of the event.
