The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud patronized the 50th anniversary ceremony of the Foundation of King Faisal Air College here today and the graduation of the 91st batch of its students as well as the launch of the new aircraft F.15 - SA, which joined the fleet of Royal Saudi Air Force, in the presence of President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir of Republic of Sudan. Upon arrival at the venue, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques inspected the ground field of aircraft and the parade. Then, the Commander of the King Faisal Air College, Air Vice Marshal Khalid Al-La'aboun delivered a speech welcoming the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; President of the Republic of Sudan and the audience. He said, "Today we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the foundation of this great edifice where the beginning of training was launched by late King Faisal bin Abdulaziz by raising the banner of the College in this field honored to be named after him." After that, the speech of the graduates was delivered on behalf of them by Cadet Musaed Al-Ghufeili in which they expressed their happiness that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques patronized their graduation ceremony from the great King Faisal Air College to continue the march of sacrifices in the ranks of brave soldiers defending the homeland. Then, King Salman and the audience watched a film to mark the 50th anniversary of King Faisal Air College Foundation. After that, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques honored the Commander of Bahraini Air Force, Air Vice Marshall Sheikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and Commander of Qatari Emiri Forces Air Vice Marshall Mubarak bin Mohammed Al-Khayarin who had previously graduated from King Faisal Air College. Subsequently, King Salman awarded the outstanding cadets of the 91st batch their prizes, and he was handed over a commemorative gift from the Commander of King Faisal Air College. Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques launched the new aircraft F.15 - SA recently joined the fleet of the Royal Saudi Air Force and watched a documentary film on the aircraft and its advanced technologies. King Salman and the attendees watched the air show with participation of different aircraft from the Royal Saudi Air Force including aircraft for training, offensive Tornado, Typhoon, F-15 interceptors, and F-15 multi-roles. A group of aircraft F.15 SA performed various air shows in addition to air shows performed by Saudi Hawks Team who have been recently registered in Guinness Book of world records for their performance of the largest slogan of a country in the world by drawing the Kingdom's slogan (Two swords and a Palm). Then the King was greeted by the project officer of F.15 - SA system Major General Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi and the first crew of the aircraft. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques received a commemorative gift from the Acting Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force and the President of the Republic of Sudan received another gift.
