Daesh is a threat to the entire Middle East region and the world as a whole, a conference of heads of general staff of allied countries fighting the terror group said at its meeting in Riyadh Sunday. The two-day conference was attended by representatives from 13 allied countries fighting against Daesh. At the end of its session, the participants affirmed their support for Operation Euphrates Shield in Syria to fight Daesh, and condemned the group's crimes against innocent people from all religions, races, and political factions. The participants described Daesh terror attacks as crimes against humanity, and stressed the need to take every action to eliminate the group. They further urged the international community to observe the rights of peoples, an issue which is giving Daesh an excuse to justify its barbaric crimes. "By defending these rights, the allied countries can prevent the emergence of more extremist terrorist groups, the meeting said. The participants also agreed to continue their efforts aimed at eliminating Daesh, and to consider a stronger role of the allied countries in the international campaign against Daesh in the next decisive stage of the war against it. They also decided to take the necessary steps to address whatever situation may arise in the post Daesh era, and to take strategic actions to curb the group's terror activities and limit its presence. The participants further agreed to implement and honor the goals set by the conference, focus on countering the terror group's extremist propaganda, and dedicate more resources to achieve stability. The countries participating in the conference were Jordan, the UAE, Bahrain, Turkey, Tunisia, Oman, Qatar, Lebanon, Kuwait, Nigeria, Malaysia, Morocco and host Saudi Arabia.
