The Ministry of Labor and Social Development announced that a total of 2,988 requests from customers have been received through 'The Labor Advisor' service, out of them 2,810 inquiries handled in October. The ministry said that all requests have been responded and processed by legal advisors, aiming to spread awareness among all labor parties about the labor law and its amendments that regulate the labor market. According to the latest statistics released by the ministry, the legal advisors have so far received 6,882 inquires in Arabic and another 102 in English as 987 Saudi citizens and 974 residents used the service. Customers made most inquiries related to termination of employment contract with 26 percent of the total received requests, employment contract with 18 percent, vacations with 18 percent, working hours with 16 percent and end of service award with 12 percent. The service provides direct dealing with an array of labor issues as well as legal advice for employers, workers and stakeholders in the labor market as the Labor Education website allows them to submit their applications online in both Arabic and English. - Previously, the ministry launched 'The Labor Advisor' to offer customers a platform to send their inquiries and questions to a group of legal advisors who are assigned to answer them online via www.laboreducation.gov.sa
